Lobster Tail

  • cookie sheet - small
  • tin foil or baking mat
  • pastry brush
  • 2 small dishes
  • kitchen shears


  • 2 9 oz lobster tails
  • butter don't be shy use generously
  • 1 lemon squeeze for juice
  • shredded parmesan Sprinkle lobster with desired amount
  • sprinkle salt My favorite is Maldon
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • fresh dill clip
  • fresh chives cut
  • drizzle olive oil extra virgin


  • Set oven to 350 Degrees
  • Gather supplies and ingredients
  • Line cookie sheet with baking mat
  • Cut the lobster shell down the center to lower portion of tail
  • Pull open shell without breaking (slowly)
  • Lift up lobster meat from the lower membrane
  • Lift meat up and pinch shell closed and lay meat on top of shell
  • On top of meat open it up for a butterfly look
  • Squeeze the juice out of one lemon and disperse by pouring between two lobster tails
  • Drizzle with olive oil
  • Sprinkle with salt
  • Bake for 18 minutes at 350 degrees
  • Melt butter and add minced garlic
  • Pull lobster tails out and brush on melted butter to the tail
  • Place back in oven for another 6 minutes
  • Pull out of oven and add the shredded parmesan to top of tail
  • Place back in oven for 2-5 minutes
  • Remove lobster tails from over and garnish with dill and chive mixture over warm lobster
