Have you ever had just one ripe banana and was not sure what to do with it? That is what happened to me. In other words, baking needed to happen. Therefore the following recipe is inspired by Amy from A Farmish Kind Of Life (fun fact: She lives in Minnesota also)
I decided to hop on Pinterest, and I came across Rootsy, who shared a recipe from A Farmish Kind Of Life. Amy (from A Farmish Kind Of Life) shares a simple banana bread recipe using only ONE banana. The recipe is so delicious and straightforward. I decided to add two additional items that were not in the recipe. I added chocolate chips and cinnamon, and I HIGHLY suggest it.
This delicious banana bread is so goldenly brown. Once the loaf is cooled, you can wrap it up in tin foil and leave on the counter. As a result, it stays fresh and moist. Check out the video below to see how simple this banana bread recipe is.

One Banana Chocolate Cinnamon Banana Bread
- bread loaf pan
- rubber spatula
- measuring cups
- 1 Banana ripe
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg mix with milk to equal 1 cup
- milk for egg mixture above
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- cooking spray spray your loaf pan
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl and mix
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan
- Bake for 50-60 minutes
